It’s much fun – don’t you know it

when you purpose as the poet

to show the colors of the sun

your love in rhyme when verse ’tis sung.

to sing of sun

to sing of sea

to sing the praise of love for thee

to sing of rain

to sign of fame

to sing of love’s multiplicities of pain

to sing of trees

to sing of bark

to say does you heart at all here hark?

to sing of leaves

to sing of branch

to sing of

of birds

of bees

(of naughty little deeds)

Yes.

It is so very much

So much fun –

Dear friend –

don’t you know it

when you purpose as the poet

to show the colors of the sun

your love in rhyme when verse ’tis sung.
